Thank you for coming to my campaign website. I'm running for re-election to serve the people of the 39th Congressional District because I believe our community deserves the best representation it can have.
I'm pleased that I have been able to win federal support to repair our streets, expand local public transportation service, fight gangs in our schools, and upgrade our flood control infrastructure.
In Washington, I have fought on your behalf to raise the minimum wage, expand health care for children, put an end to unfair trade deals that send American jobs overseas, increase funding for veterans' health care, boost student financial aid, protect Medicare, and defend the civil rights of all Americans.
As the Chairwoman of a key subcommittee, I have made fairness my trademark. I'm working to create a level playing field between consumers like you and the big corporations and banks.
