There's so much more we could be doing to help further bring down health care costs and lower drug prices for working families. But the frustrating truth is, since the day he took office, President Trump has made it his mission to sabotage the ACA, weaken protections for people with pre-existing conditions, and inject chaos throughout our health care system. I'm working tirelessly to reverse the damage that's been done, build on the progress we've made over the last several years, and push forward new, common sense solutions that would make a real difference for families still struggling to afford care.

On this #DayOfTheGirl, I'm thinking about all of the incredible young people I've had a chance to meet with across our state & around the country this year. Here's a recent picture of a group of young girls I met with over the Labor Day weekend. When I saw their amazing shirts, I just had to run over and say hello! Today, and every day, I stand committed to building a better world where all girls have every opportunity to succeed, thrive, and pursue their dreams. #ThisGirlCan #EveryoneLovesASmartGirl #TogetherWeShineBright

Proud to receive Latinas Lead California's endorsement for my re-election campaign! It's so important to have diverse voices and experiences at every level of government. That's why I remain steadfastly committed to inspiring and helping more Latina's to run for public office. When a Latina decides to run, you can bet she'll be second-guessed, underestimated, and even flat out discriminated against. That's why we need organizations like Latinas Lead California supporting Latina candidates with the resources they need to WIN. #LatinasLeadCA
