Bondi oversaw the expansion of ICE into Trump’s secret police
Whittier, CA – Rep. Linda Sánchez responded to news of Attorney General Pam Bondi’s firing on Thursday afternoon:
“Good riddance. Pam Bondi was a disgrace to the office and millions of Americans breathed a sigh of relief to see her go. She oversaw the expansion of ICE into Trump’s personal secret police, and didn’t even bother to pretend that the DOJ should remain independent of the White House. ICE has spent the last year terrorizing the people I represent. I will not vote to give one more dime to President Trump’s personal secret police until it’s brought under control. ICE must be rebuilt from the ground up to fix the damage that Pam Bondi has done. ”
